Effective date: October 6, 2026
Belrose Games ("we", "us") is a sole proprietorship in the Republic of Korea that makes the mobile game KPOP STAGE : Starstep (the "Game"). This policy explains what information is processed when you play the Game, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.
There is no sign-up form. We do not ask for your name, phone number, address or email address. When you first open the Game, an anonymous "guest account" (a random account number) is created automatically.
Your progress, stage name (nickname) and settings are saved on your device first. When cloud save is on, a backup copy of the same data is also saved on our game server, which runs on Unity Gaming Services by Unity Technologies. While cloud save is off, we do not upload your progress.
To improve the Game we use usage statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase). We do not send your name, nickname or email address to them.
Friends and rivals in the Game are virtual characters generated on your device. The Game has no chat and does not exchange data with other players.
To show ads, process purchases, measure usage, and keep your account and cloud save, Google and Unity process some data, as described below.
a. Stored on your device
When cloud save is on, a copy of your progress, stage name and settings is also stored on our server (see 2g).
Game progress, stage name, settings (sound, text size, language), shop purchase counts, daily rewarded-ad counts, and an error log (latest 40 entries: app version, device model, OS, language, progress position and error text).
Purpose: saving your game, applying daily limits and fixing problems. We receive the error log only if you tap "Copy problem log" in Settings and send it to us yourself.
b. Collected by Google for advertising
Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Google's User Messaging Platform collect: advertising ID, app set ID, IP address (which may be used to estimate approximate location), device information (model, OS, language, screen size), ad interactions (requests, impressions, views, taps), SDK diagnostics, and your consent choices where applicable.
Purpose: showing rewarded ads and confirming rewards, ad measurement, fraud prevention and, depending on your consent and settings, personalized ads. How Google uses this information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
c. Purchases
Payments are handled by Google Play Billing. You enter payment details directly with Google; we never receive card numbers.
Google Play Console shows us order records (order ID, product, price, date, country). We use them to confirm delivery, handle refunds and support requests, and for accounting and tax.
The purchase module, Unity In-App Purchasing by Unity Technologies, processes (according to Unity's published disclosure): approximate location, email address (processed temporarily), personal identifiers, purchase history, crash logs, diagnostics and performance data, and device identifiers, to provide purchase features and analyze errors.
d. Support requests
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach (such as an order ID, screenshots or the problem log). We use them only to answer you and to handle refunds or errors.
e. Google Play statistics
Google Play Console shows us aggregated statistics (such as installs and crash counts by device) that do not identify you. We use them to improve quality.
f. Usage statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
To improve the Game and fix errors, we use Google's Firebase Analytics (usage statistics) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports).
Usage statistics: features used, level progress, gold earned and spent, items and products received, rewarded ads watched, and status values such as progress stage range, purchase experience (none, some or several), membership, language and text size. They are sent with an anonymous number. Google estimates your approximate location (country or region) from your IP address.
Crash reports: when the app crashes or hits an error, the device model, Android version, app version, error details and the last game steps before the error (which screen you were on and what you did). A one-way code (hash) of your game account number may be attached.
Identifiers: a Firebase app-instance ID, a Crashlytics installation ID and the advertising ID (in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland only if you allow it in the consent message; elsewhere only if you have not turned the advertising ID off on your device).
We never send your name, nickname, email address, phone number or group or guild names to them. The Game does not ask for or send your precise location (GPS).
Purpose: improving the Game, fixing errors and understanding which features are used.
Choices: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, usage statistics start only after you agree in the consent message, and you can change your choice at any time with "Privacy options" in the Game's Settings. Elsewhere, usage statistics are on. Crash reports are sent to fix bugs (our legitimate interest); if you turn them off in Settings > Info > "Send crash reports", they stop from the next launch.
Processor: Google LLC (USA). See Section 4.
g. Account and cloud save (Unity Gaming Services)
To continue your progress and check purchases, we use Unity Technologies' game server services (Unity Gaming Services: authentication, cloud save, server code and remote configuration). Our server program runs on them.
Account: when you first open the Game, an anonymous guest account is created automatically with a random account number. In Settings > Info > "Account and cloud save" you can see the last 6 characters of that number.
Stored on our server (when cloud save is on): a copy of your progress (story progress, stage name (nickname), settings, in-game currencies and records such as gold and items, looks you have earned), a random install number created when the Game first ran, the app version and the time of the last save.
Server time and settings: to check that the device clock has not been changed, the Game receives the server time, and it fetches game settings (remote configuration). Connection information such as your IP address reaches Unity's servers when it does so.
Anti-cheat check: when cloud save uploads, our server checks whether your gold and items can be explained by normal play and purchases, and values that cannot be explained may be reset to the last value stored on the server. The check uses the log of gold and items you received and spent in the Game. We do not suspend accounts because of this check.
We do not store your name, phone number or email address on the server. Your stage name (nickname) is part of the progress copy.
Purpose: continuing your progress on a new phone, backing up your progress, checking purchases, and preventing clock changes and cheating.
There is no separate setting to turn off cloud save yet. If you do not want data on the server, please use "Delete account" (see Section 5).
h. Purchase checks and records
When you buy an item, Google Play gives the Game a receipt (order ID, product, purchase time and a verification signature). The Game sends it to our server program to confirm that the payment is genuine and to stop the same receipt from being used on another account.
Our server stores purchase records (product, order ID, purchase time and a one-way code (hash) of the receipt number). With them you can recover purchased items and memberships after changing phones or reinstalling.
You enter card and other payment details only with Google; we never receive them.
After you delete your account, a receipt-use record (order ID, product, time) stays without any link to your account, so that the same receipt cannot be used on another account.
Personalized ads: your consent, asked through Google's consent message.
Non-personalized ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention: our legitimate interest in offering a free game and keeping ads safe.
Purchases: performance of the contract with you.
Keeping transaction and support records: legal obligations and our legitimate interests.
Usage statistics: your consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (asked through Google's consent message); our legitimate interest in improving the Game elsewhere.
Crash reports: our legitimate interest in finding and fixing errors.
Guest account, cloud save and server time: performance of the contract with you (keeping your progress and purchases).
Purchase checks and anti-cheat checks: performance of the contract with you and our legitimate interest in preventing fraud.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We allow Google to collect the data in Section 2b for advertising; Google uses it under its own privacy policy. We do not otherwise share personal information unless required by law.
Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA — advertising (AdMob and User Messaging Platform), usage statistics and crash reports (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics), Google Play Billing and distribution, and our support mailbox (Gmail). Unity Technologies, USA — in-app purchase module, and accounts, cloud save and server features (Unity Gaming Services). Contact: DPO@unity3d.com · Privacy Policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
Data is sent over the internet with encryption (TLS) when the Game starts, connects to our server, loads or shows an ad, sends usage statistics or crash reports, or prepares or makes a purchase, and may be processed in the United States and other countries where these companies operate. Please see their privacy policies for the safeguards they use. For usage statistics, crash reports, accounts, cloud save and purchase records (Sections 2f to 2h), Google and Unity act as service providers that process the data on our behalf.
Personalized ads: on Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads (on some devices, Settings > Privacy > Ads) and delete or reset your advertising ID; on older devices, turn on "Opt out of Ads Personalization". In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, choose in the consent message shown at first launch and change your choice any time with the "Privacy options" button in the Game's Settings. This choice also applies to the advertising ID and to usage statistics: if you do not agree, usage statistics do not start. If you opt out, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalized.
Rewarded ads play only when you tap an ad button. The ads SDK may still communicate over the internet to prepare ads.
Delete game data: Settings > "Start over" deletes all progress on your device, and uninstalling the Game deletes its data from your device. If Android backup is on, a copy may be kept in your own Google account backup.
Delete your account and server data: in the Game, go to Settings > Info > "Account and cloud save" > "Delete account". After two confirmations, the progress copy and purchase records on our server are deleted and the Game on your phone starts over. Purchased items and memberships are lost and cannot be restored.
If you cannot open the Game, request deletion as described on our support page (https://sites.google.com/view/belrosegames/contact) by emailing belrosegames@gmail.com. We may ask questions to confirm that it is your account. We respond within 10 days.
"Start over" in the Game's Settings only restarts the Game on your phone; it does not delete your account on our server. Use "Delete account" for that.
Email us to access, correct or delete other information we hold about you (for example, support emails). We cannot find or delete data that exists only on your device or that Google holds for advertising; we will explain how you can do so.
Usage statistics and crash reports are kept under an anonymous number, so we cannot look up a person in them; they are deleted automatically after the retention period in Section 6. You can turn off crash reports in Settings > Info > "Send crash reports".
Payment records at Google Play are kept by Google under its own policy and applicable law.
EEA, UK and Swiss users have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and may withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Residents of California and other US states may have rights to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To use them, email us or use the advertising ID controls above.
Data on your device: until you delete it.
Support emails: 3 years after the request is closed; records related to payments and refunds: 5 years (Korean Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce). Then we delete them.
Server data (account, cloud save copy, purchase records): until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
Receipt-use records (order ID, product, time; not linked to your account): kept for the retention period of payment and refund records (5 years), then deleted. After you delete your account they are used only to stop the same receipt from being used on another account.
Usage statistics: up to 14 months from collection. Crash reports: 90 days. Google deletes them automatically.
Google and Unity: according to their own policies. Google states that it anonymizes advertising data in server logs by removing part of the IP address after 9 months and cookie information after 18 months.
The Game is not directed to children under 14 in Korea, under 13 in the United States, or under the age of digital consent in your country (up to 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We keep as little data as possible: our server stores only what is needed to continue your game (guest account number, a copy of your progress and purchase records) and not your name, phone number or email address; the support mailbox is protected by 2-step verification and handled only by the owner of Belrose Games; and communication is encrypted (TLS).
Internet, network state, vibration, billing, advertising ID (including Android ad privacy features), keeping the device awake while additional content downloads (wake lock and data-sync service), and reading Google Play install information. The Game does not request contacts, photos, precise location, camera or microphone.
